This episode introduces the concept of African Language Groups.
There are about 20 different language groups (or language family groups) in Africa, spread over 54 countries.
These groups consist of approximately 2 000 languages, spoken by over a billion Africans.

We also talk about endangered African languages & how can people help with this challenge to African cultures & history.
