For most of my life when the word “Africa” was mentioned a negative image would come to mind. These one-sided images were promoted through the mass media, so-called “aid” programs and even the entertainment industry. This resulted in Africa being seen by many people as a monolithic land mass filled with nothing but sickness and poverty. There is much more to Africa than the most severe conditions the effects of colonization left behind.

In 2021, I will be tearing down the walls of misinformation with a series of short scenes in an effort to change the narrative. This content is also being created to encourage people to visit one of the many countries Africa has to offer. This first clip opens the door to my Africa Awakening experience. As each new piece of this puzzle is revealed, the picture will become more and more clear.
