A self-drive trip in Namibia, Africa! I camped in open spaces, drove a Toyota Hilux on unruly terrains, popped open my tent, cut my finger once, got a tetanus shot, lost my way on one night, spotted so many wild animals and even African Elephants on the freaking ROAD (the baby elephant was damn cute), cooked my food on some days over a fire, saw a million stars while showering at an open space and overall felt way toooo alive! There’s something so exhilarating about putting yourself in a place so far removed from your comfort zone, that it leaves an impression on you forever. After this trip, I did another self-drive trip in the US on Highway 1 and I don’t think I would have had the confidence to do it otherwise if it wasn’t for this trip.
